Stock market investing is not easy but if you apply a little bit of common sense, it can be much easier.
Helping people to make smarter financial decisions is the mission of this channel.
You can make better financial decisions by:
Having the right investing mindset (we do not speculate and hope - we see how the risk and reward fits our investment goals).
Doing good analyses (earnings and cash flows alongside a margin of safety is what makes a stock portfolio grow over the long-term)
Enjoy!

What If INTEREST RATES Aren't Lowered Long-Term (Market News)
Good man Sven. It's nice to hear a sensible guy on RUclips. I've got some risky investments and I'm increasing my sensible stuff now.
there is a problem about the video .
ALSN looks good with roughly 12% estimated return
The problem with buying beaten down value stocks like tyson food or any other stock you like, they can stagnate, stay around for months, meanwhile blue chips keep climbing unless its bear market, this is the reason for having low return. 20% Annum wold be good return
There is something wrong in the investing wiorld today :-))))
essentially you are fighting with computer algos that care about grabbing pennies in nano seconds.
Housing prices are up because investment funds have locked up large amounts of the Us housing stock, during the pandemic.( they came into the markets with blank check more or less and out bid the local buyer in some cases 300% and 400%) There really isn't a housing supply shortage.
Then what is your allocation given the market conditions? Are you mostly invested in short-term bonds, Asian stocks, or something else?
🆘 WBD/CNN stock on 5/15/24 is trading at $8.44 down again today. Will WBD stock incompetent management clown show ever end? ✔️ Remember Warner Brothers Discovery lost money last year and shareholders have now lost around 70% in shareholder value but their CEO David Zaslav’s was paid $50 million for his utter failure. Let’snot forget that CNN fake news is a “dying media company” which is also killing the total Ad $Revenue$ and $profits$ for WBD bottom line. Yes! excellence is never an accident. Failure at WBD is a result of poor leadership and management decisions. 🔴 Remember Warner Brothers Discovery management gets paid $millions$ to grow and protect shareholder value and have totally failed at doing their jobs. Vote all the bums out on shareholder proxy ballot.
Hi Sven, following a detailed analysis on BRK would you consider an update on Allianz? Allianz is trading a P/E near 10. Thanks!
First time on your channel, great topic
Welcome aboard!
Maybe the market is correctly priced for higher long term inflation. If companies are expected to hedge against inflation by growing profits nominally than the valuations might make sense. If we get 5% inflation for 10 years for example then: treasuries yield 0% in real terms and stocks yield 4% in real terms
That is not a contradiction and it is not crazy. That is just the market pricing in a less severe stagflation.
Boomers wanting the increasingly small and demoralized youth to take their pension money to get goods and services. More labor bargaining power, more desperation to spent all of the stored wealth. Heavy inflationary pressure, which would mean really high rates. I can see it.
Thanks for sharing
I own businesses (that just happen to be publicly traded), not pieces of paper.
Yep!
It would be interesting to know how Seth Klarman and the Bauman Group can have such a poor performance. The guy knows everything about investing and still catastrophe, are there hedges that we cannot see? His 10 year performance is -23% and his 3 year performance is -43% I hope there is a good explanation to this failure.
That is not correct for performance! He returned capital twice, so that might be the minus, but not performance!
@@Value-Investing thanks for clarifying was a bit worried there. I just googled “Baupost performance” , anyway not good advertisement
Timmberrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
:-))))
Sven, what would it take for you to admit the boglehead strategy advocated by both Jack Bogle and Warren Buffett is superior to what you advocate as a strategy/philosophy?
I am 100% convinced it isn’t!
@@Value-Investing Fair enough. I am hoping you are one of the rare few who manage to generate alpha in copious amounts over a lifetime. I'm 99% convinced that 97% of the people reading these comments are better off choosing the Boglehead strategy as opposed to the Phil Fischer/Charlie Munger Strategy and I will be hoping you prove to be in that 3%.
Hey Sven, I've been following you videos for a long time and I currently invested in BABA shares since your China Investing Video. Can you please share how you allocate capital when you have more than 1 good buying opportunity in your portfolio? I'm a long term investor and I have missed out on major moves like META at 180$/share because of this... Many thanks

Great video and analysis like always, thanks!
Much appreciated!
Glad I didn’t listen to Sven on ZIM. I have doubled my investment in ZIM in a short time while Sven missed this call big time. Looking in the rear view mirror can cause you to miss the opportunity staring you in the face.
Investing is about risk and reward!
Buffett once said he considers Berkshire to be undervalued below 1.4x BV. does it still hokd true now?
It was 1.2, but not as relevant anymore as most businesses are cash flow!
I also sold AAPL thanks to you, so Apple was giving me its money too! ^_^ I will buy again when it's way more reasonable valuation for its actual growth. Thanks!
Totally agree!
First they do not have the Brandquality of p&g where loyality is part of the brand. Toothbrush, shaving etc. The margin will not raise that much in my opinion. 2. When they sell low margin products its not a double of earnings from the current levels but from future "after-its-sold" levels.
I would love to add since I started a position in 2020 and it started to go up. I think it has to be one of the most safe businesses/stocks in the market, managed by Buffett himself and his mates, and it's still growing even. I think safety will be very important in these times... So, I hope the price falls enough to buy more! Thanks.
Hey Sven, Buffet is not getting 1.5% div yield from Apple, he bought it when it was ~60$ therefore his div yield (on cost) is much much higher. But i agree with your conclusion, brk is great company sitting on huge pile of cash
Hey Sven, do you think the sale of the Icecream division will help improving profitability? Thanks for your content, big fan of the channel 💪🏻 Ciao!
Beating the market or not does not mean much. I consider a pretty good result approaching the geometric and arithmetic average market return over the years with a consistent significantly reduced volatility
Not for me, this will take eons for a 50/50 chance to expand and grow. Thanks Sven
I don't know Sivan about this company. I hope the new management will turn it into a growth company. But as it is, it is a stable cash cow. As an investor, I see as one of the bright points the dividend yield. But the company has no dividend growth. If the dividend is not growing, at least as fast as inflation, you are actually losing money (especially if you can't count on the growth of the business and earnings.)
Seven can you do a video on Papa John’s ticker symbol PAPA. Trading close to 52 low week.
Never thought I'd see the day when a 30 PE was on the lower end
does a good entry matter as much with BRK? I wanna buy in but not sure if its expensive
An idiot can drive company sooner or later. Does not mean it is a bad company? Defensive like waste management ...idk. I do not trust them. Personal choice.
Isnt 9% just what me a diversified etf would bring? Why buy one stock for 9% pa when having an etf with thousands of stocks for 9%…
that's why he said he didn't buy it
why would you look at p/e instead of p/nav? do you have any insights into p/nav related to this tranasction
I sold, they sold brands for peanuts and acquired other brands for ridiculous values. Debt is only increasing. Hard pass for me, i rather voo/schd/vhyl at that point
hello sven carlin sir , I am from south 'india\ you are talk about stocks analysis very clearly and meaning full sir ,very interested with me i am also watching your vedios before many years you talk about some fundamentals strong stocks sir ''reply me '' you are reply for me i am so happy?
I have been told not to be fooled, stocks and etfs are not the economy, I had 180k put aside waiting for the feds to stop raising rates, now I’m ready to get back in the market, but it looks like the pause is forever and Faang will still rise/fall, I’m confused, what could be the way moving forward
The stocks will go down further, and good luck on the feds pausing rate hikes with all the hawkishness that has failed to keep up with inflation
If unemployment is able to remain steady while the fed hikes and inflation falls back to target a soft landing might be on the table
Don’t expect a soft landing, we know inflation is still far from it’s 2% destination -the FOMC didn’t reduce rates yet, we can never foretell their moves these days
Fixed income Tbills and bonds may work for you while you try to figure out the next entry point for stocks
It’s always good to have a fin-plan, I work with a professional planner, multi-market and fixed-income strategist, the fixed income portion of your portfolio won’t simply serve as a buffer to the volatility of the equity portion of your portfolio but will provide a legitimate income
Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months , my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.
Hi. I’ve been forced to find additional sources of income as I got retrenched. I barely have time to continue trading and watch my investments since I had my second daughter. Do you think I should take a break for a while from the market and focus on other things or return whenever I have free time or is it a continuous process? Thanks.

Thanks Mate, the sad truth is that no one has a clue, we all react to what happens as it happens and try to analyse it but can’t predict an iota of what is going to unfold in the markets… content creators are like amplifiers, when times are good they affirm it and try to tell you why it’s good and that it’s looking bullish but then all of a sudden the market turns bearish and everyone affirms it again and try to analyse why… it’s so sad that many are so powerless and it's not about guessing the market's next move; it's about playing it smart and steady during trading...managed to grow a nest egg of around 2.3Bitcoin to a decent 19Bitcoin in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Kerrie Farrell, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape...
As a beginner, it's essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable..
I appreciate the professionalism and dedication of the team behind Kerrie’s trade signal service...
Investing with an expert is the best strategy for beginners and busy investors, as most failures and losses in investment usually happen when you invest without proper guidance. I'm speaking from experience....
The fact that i got to learn and earn from her program is everything to me think about it, it's a win win for both ways...
The internet is filled with so many useful information about Kerrie Farrell crypto..
No he is right on this one we are in a super strong order block and I used to work at cvs for years. People are attached to this company but they are just having a slump. Combined with a new pandemic this company is poised to rise to 100$ again.
I'm in my 50s and I'm more interested in investments that could set me up for retirement , I mean I've heard of people that netted hundreds of thousands during these crypto bull run, I listened to someone on a podcast who earned over $650K in less than a year, what's the strategy behind such returns?
This is precisely why I like having a financial coach guide my day-to-day cry-pto market decisions: with their extensive knowledge of going long and short at the same time, using risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying it off as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, their skillset makes it nearly impossible for them to underperform. I've been utilizing a financial coach for more than two years, and I've made over $800,000........
How can one find a verifiable financial coach? I would not mind looking up the professional that helped you. I will be retiring in two years and I might need some management on my portfolio. Don't want to take any chances.

In my opinion we should value asset in real terms. If you adjust values for the inflation of the last 4 years the s&p 500 Is not as High as a prepandemic level and house prices seems much more fairly valutated

The reason why the stock popped recently is the news of the spin-off of the Ice Cream division. The new management took that decision because the want to exit the food business in the GPL-1 new world (Terry Smith is a GPL-1 fan given his stake in Novo Nordisk). Even if will be the a right choice, it makes harder to predict futures cash flow of the whole company in my opinion.
